How to join

Four steps from the main menu to your first can of beans. Takes about five minutes, most of it watching mods download.

  1. Get DayZ and Badlands

    You need DayZ on Steam (PC) plus the Badlands expansion, which adds the Nasdara map we run on.

  2. Find the server

    Open the DayZ launcher, go to Servers → Community and search "Drunk Rednecks". Or use Direct Connect with play.drunkrednecks.com and port 2302.

  3. Let the mods download

    Hit Join. The launcher subscribes you to every required mod and downloads them. First time takes a few minutes; after that it just checks for updates.

  4. Pick a spawn, grab your kit

    Choose where you spawn on the map. Your free start pack comes with you. Then read the rules and check where the PVP zones are before you go exploring.

Troubleshooting

Truck won't start?

The server doesn’t show up in the list

Use Direct Connect instead: play.drunkrednecks.com:2302. If your launcher only accepts an IP, use 31.56.65.85:2302. For favorites, add 31.56.65.85 with query port 27016.

It says my mods don’t match

Close the game, let Steam finish updating your Workshop subscriptions, then rejoin. Still stuck? Unsubscribe from the mod that’s complaining, rejoin, and let the launcher grab it fresh.

It’s asking for a password

We lock the server while we’re doing setup or maintenance. The current password is pinned in our Discord.

I prefer DZSA Launcher

Works fine. Search "Drunk Rednecks" or add 31.56.65.85:27016 as a favorite, then Join. It handles the mods the same way.
